86 GR & GR Sport
The GR and GR Sport were two of the final special versions of the first generation Toyota 86 (ZN6) that had unique parts inside out. Both were spiritual successors of the 86 GRMN as visible in the design of the bodykit, and both comes with a digital meter display showing rpm, G-force and GPS race course lap timer.
The GR is closer to the GRMN it is based on, featuring the unique single center exhaust, ventilated brakes with Brembo calipers and bucket racing seats. This version, like its spiritual predecessor, is only available in white.
The GR Sport trim only came in red, black or white and has its own share of performance upgrades. Along with the release of this model, new parts for the Kouki 86 and ‘GR Parts’ were introduced.
The 86 GR cost 5,000,000 yen ($34,000 usd) while the GR Sport is priced at 3,800,000yen ($25,000 usd).
