86 RC
The 86 RC is the lowest priced trim level in Japan, priced at only 1,990,000 yen ($13,000 usd). This is the bare minimum 86 variant that comes in steel wheels, unpainted bumpers, unpainted mirror caps and door handles.
Inside, you’ll find many missing trim pieces, a hole where the infotainment is suppose to be, no a/c, urethane gear knob and hand brake as opposed to leather.
The 86 RC was only offered in manual transmission and is 20kg lighter than the lowest trim level model.
Another striped out version, called 86 Racing, was aimed at pure circuit drivers and participants in the one make 86/BRZ Cup races. This model came with a roll cage, oil cooler, 4 point seat harness, tow hooks and the option to add in a data logger.
