86 GRMN

The 86 GRMN is a product of the success Toyota Gazoo Racing had in the Nurburgring 24 hour race with their Toyota 86. The team achieved class victory in its debut year, 2012, then a 2nd place finish in 2013, and another class victory in 2014. Their experience and knowledge from the extreme racing conditions helped refine and evolve the 86, which shaped the creation of the GRMN.

The GRMN is the only 86 model to have increased performance from the factory. It has a maximum power of 219ps (standard 200ps) and maximum torque of 217nm (standard 205nm).

Performance upgrades for this model include custom exhaust manifold, ECU tune, lightweight pistons, adjustable suspension, mono block brakes, and carbon fibre roof, bonnet and boot for weight reduction.

Aero parts including the carbon fibre wing, rear diffuser with center exhaust, front lip and fender garnish are all derived from the results and testing in the Nurburgring 24hr.

The 86 GRMN costs 6,480,000 yen ($43,000 usd) but even if you have the money, you have to enter a lottery system and be one of the 100 lucky winners to get one.
